Download SpotNet Hotspot Engine

Build your own hotspot from scratch with SpotNet's Hotspot Engine. Here you can purchase a development version of SpotNet's Hotspot software for OpenWRT (Linksys WRT54G(S)). Please note that some level of Linux knowledge is neccessary to make everything work.

The Hotspot Engine offers the same functionality as the SpotNet Basic service. It allows you to configure your access point as a hotspot and charge visitors for access using your Paypal account. SpotNet grants one license per user, for more installations please contact us.

Installation instructions

To run SpotNet's willox software on a Linksys WRT54G access point, you need to install OpenWRT first. Visit http://www.openwrt.org to get OpenWRT and instructions on how to install it.

After that you need to install thttpd-php and probably disable the stock httpd that comes with OpenWRT. Get thttpd-php at http://tracker.openwrt.org/packages/show.php?id=1667
